Bateleur Landing
Scientific name: Terathopius ecaudatus; bataleur
Location: Olare Orok Conservancy, Maasai Mara, Kenya
Description: Initially pausing to observe a lioness and her cubs, I was alerted to the presence of a bird flying overhead. Turning my camera to the sky I tracked the bird as it circled and chose to land on a near branch. Captured here, the bird looks to be leaping from branch to branch.
